Sesame Seitan
Okay, I’ve made this recipe 3 times since perfecting it and OH MY GOODNESS…B O M B. Usually i’m all about sesame tofu but trying it with seitan is a whole new world, it is sooooo good. This reminds me of a asian “beef” dish and it is PERF.
this recipe only takes 7 minutes!
I’m not going to talk your ears off lets get straight to what ya came for BOMB FOOD.
Ingredients:
8 oz seitan
1/4 c coconut aminos (or soy sauce)
1 1/2 tbs rice vinegar
1 tbs brown sugar
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 tbs sesame seeds
1/2 tbs corn starch
Instructions:
Start by draining your seitan (if it comes in liquid) and heat a pan with drizzle of oil on medium heat. Add seitan to pan and cook for 3 minutes until seitan starts to brown.
While seitan cooks add coconut aminos, rice vinegar, brown sugar, minced garlic, sesame seeds and corn starch into a bowl and stir until combined and brown sugar is mostly dissolved,
Once seitan has cooked for 3 minutes add all sauce over the seitan and continue to cook for 2-3 more minutes until sauce thickens and coats all seitan chunks.
Serve with your choice of sides. I love to eat this with steamed broccoli and white rice (kinda like beef stir fry from my childhood!) ENJOY
