ALL MY SMOOTHIE LOVERS RAISE YA HANDS! every single person everywhere raises their hands

Smoothies used to be my go-to back in 2010, literally had to have them EVERY morning but now i recently started loving them once again because they are so dang versatile! I have so many go-to recipes for smoothies so expect to see many more on Chickpea Wellness!!

This one has been an absolute favorite of mine since I fell in love with smoothies back in the day: its simple:

Peaches: one of my favorite fruits! (but who am I kidding I love all fruit)

Greens: I usually use spinach because it has a neutral taste but feel free to omit OR use kale.

Orange: for a little kick of vitamin C, which is so important during cold and flu season!!

Coconut water: for some electrolytes and potassium.

Maca powder: optional but great for hormone balance!

Collagen: for hair, skin, nails and a fluffy smoothie.

and last but not least the weird ingredient……

ZUCCHINI! Yes zucchini, you cant taste it at all but it makes it real nice and creamy.

Okay lets get to the measurements!

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 C coconut water

  • 3/4 C zucchini (steamed then frozen)

  • 1 whole orange

  • 1 C peaches (frozen preferred but use fresh for a thinner smoothie)

  • 1 tbs chia seeds

  • 1 scoop collagen powder

  • handful of spinach

  • 1 tsp maca powder

Instructions:

  1. If you haven’t already steam zucchini slices for 10 minutes then place into the freezer to freeze for 30+ minutes.

  2. Cut up all your fruit, peel your orange and begine placing all ingredients into a high speed blender.

  3. Blend on high until smooth and thick, add ice if you want it thicker.

  4. Pour into a (reused) jar and enjoy!!
